Teeth Whitening Kits & Treatments

Many of us would like whiter, brighter teeth. At Pure Dental we offer a range of teeth whitening treatments to lighten the natural colour of your teeth without damaging the tooth surface.

What is teeth whitening?

The tooth whitening or 'oxidation' process lightens discolourations within the teeth and breaks down organic materials to remove staining. Discolouration may be caused, for example, by highly coloured foods, drinks like tea and coffee or smoking, as well as calculus and tartar buildup.

What whitening treatments do we offer?

Express Megawhite Laser Teeth Whitening System

We offer Express Megawhite teeth whitening which is £99.99. It would require one appointment and is completed within 20 minutes. Depending on whether or not the teeth require an inital Scale and Polish to remove any surface staining, an additional £35.00 is added to the total. This is to ensure maximum results for the treatment.

The procedure takes just 20 minutes and you leave the surgery with whitening complete, taking the teeth back to their natural whiteness. We recommend not eating or drinking dark coloured food of drink for 24 hours after the treatments and avoiding smoking for 24 hours. Quick, affordable and great results for just £99.99.

Alternatively, we offer:

Home Teeth Whitening Kits

A Home teeth whitening kit is just £250.

It would require one intial appointment where we would take impressions of your teeth for mouth trays to be made. Once the trays are returned from the lab, you are supplied with the whitening kit.

You will receive a demonstration on how to apply the kit before you leave the surgery.

The teeth whitening kit is ideally used for one hour - repeated every day once until you are happy with the results. This can then be topped up with the remaining gel every 4-5 months for continual, visibly whiter teeth.

Is Teeth Whitening Safe?

Clinical studies have shown that bleaching with carbamide or hydrogen peroxide under the supervision of a dental professional is safe for teeth and gums.

How long will the treatment last?

Effects of teeth whitening treatments can last indefinitely however this will vary from person to person and be affected by lifestyle choices such as smoking. Touching up the whitening treatment a few times a year can help to remove re-staining. Ask us for our opinion before you start your treatment.
